Komana

Their designs are as individual as they are. The two Swiss sisters Nina and Livia create clothes with character and a touch of theatricality combined with humor. Their collections are produced sustainably, fairly, and with a lot of love.

Fair treatment of people and nature is very important to Komana. The prints and patterns are hand-painted and applied using a traditional woodcut process. An old technique that can only be practiced by very experienced craftsmen. The textiles are manufactured in Jaipur (India) and London (Great Britain).

They use natural colors for their fabrics only, which do not contain any harmful chemicals. This has an impact on the health of the employees, the customers, and the environment. They use materials like organic cotton, peace silk, and cupro. You can read more about the materials on my blog “Sustainability Dictionary“.

The craftsmen are paid a fair wage and profit from many benefits such as full-time employment, employee bonuses (every 3 months), full medical coverage, and paid holidays.

My Look today is by Komana. Combined with shoes by Ekin, a bag by O My Bag and jewelry by fremdformat. Everything I bought at glore in Zurich.
