Alaska Airlines to Launch Premium Credit Card in 2025

➡️ Original article (Dec 14, 2024) – Alaska Airlines announced today that it will soon introduce a “premium credit card with industry-leading benefits for guests, built for the global traveler to explore the expanding network”.
The news is part of Alaska’s three-year strategic plan to deliver $1 billion in incremental profit following combination with Hawaiian Airlines.
The new Alaska Airlines credit card will have benefits such as :
- An innovative Global Companion Award Certificate that can be used on any Alaska Airlines redemption, including partner awards and any class of service.
- Cardholders will receive one certificate for having the card and can receive a second certificate earned from spend each year.
- The annual certificate could be limited to 25K and the second certificate at 100K miles with $60 spend.
- 3x miles on all eligible foreign and dining purchases
- Even faster path to elite status and more
- Waived award ticket fees. This applies to the $12.50 partner award fee, and not the YQ/YR surcharges imposed by partners like British Airways.
- Alaska Lounge passes
- Wi-Fi vouchers
- $395 annual fee
Interested guests can join an early-access list to receive an exclusive link to apply for the new premium credit card, which is expected to be available in summer 2025.
You must pre-register your interest at alaskaair.com/premium-card by Dec. 31, 2024, for an exclusive offer. That includes 500 miles just for pre-registering and another 5,000 bonus miles in addition to the welcome bonus on the new card, which has not been revealed yet.
